THE PRESIDENT'S CHOICE CHILDREN'S CHARITY

The President's Choice Children's Charity is dedicated to helping children who are physically or developmentally challenged. Families who have children born with disabilities like Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, to name a few, come to us for help. Through store fundraisers, national fundraising initiatives or personal donations, our employees and customers have truly demonstrated their commitment to the President’s Choice Children’s Charity.  Extra Foods gives many heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in helping to make difficult lives a little easier. 

SOCIAL VISION STATEMENT

Extra Foods has a philosophy of corporate social responsibility and community investment. Acting with its employees,Extra Foods supports and contributes to national and local organizations through our head office and our retail stores, including sponsoring numerous charities and charitable fundraising activities.

We deliver on our commitment to enhance the quality of life in our communities by supporting programs and organizations that benefit children, have a health and human service focus, or are an investment in the communities we serve. Extra Foods sets aside special funds for this purpose and reviews requests through a dedicated committee. 

A PART OF THE COMMUNITY

Food Banks
As a grocery retailer Extra Foods is extremely committed to providing food to those in need through ongoing food bank donations. Through year round financial support to food banks in Western Canada, Extra Foods is doing its part to ensure no one in the community goes hungry. In addition to financial contributions, the majority of our stores also feature a donation box for customers and employees to make donations to local food banks. 

Children's Hospitals

Extra Foods is also a proud supporter of children's hospitals throughout Western Canada. We hope that through our contribution we are able to help both young patients and their families during difficult times. Most importantly, it is our wish that these children will one day enjoy happy and healthy lives. 

At Extra Foods we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work. We support many local charitable organizations and events through direct donations and promotional efforts. We support, among other charities:
