In memory of Glenn C. Grieve, the former Vice President and Controller of Wholesale Operations for Westfair Foods Ltd., a scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a current employee or child or spouse of a current employee who is entering into a full-time course of business, science or arts studies at a recognized university or college in Canada. This scholarship is a great way to further your education and realize your goals!

We have permanent part-time positions available across all shifts (days, evenings, nights and weekends). Applicants must be customer service oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Positions are available in the following departments:
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
In addition to our part-time positions, we regularly recruit for career-oriented individuals interested in a permanent full-time career in retail.
Department Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the department including ordering, merchandising, customer service as well as a variety of administrative duties. In addition, the department supervisor is accountable for promoting and increasing sales through effective merchandising techniques, meeting departmental budgets and providing direction and support to the department staff.
These are full time salaried positions, which offer a comprehensive benefits plan, competitive salary, share awards and an incentive program as well as great opportunities for advancement. The ideal Department Supervisor candidate is a customer service-oriented individual who will possess relevant department experience as well as previously demonstrated supervisory skills.
BAKERY CLERK
Answering customer inquiries, taking special orders (occasion cakes, wedding cakes etc.) accurately & promptly, packaging, labeling and pricing bakery items, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring department is clean. Early morning, day, evening and weekend shifts available.
CASHIER
Answering customer inquiries, operating a computerized terminal, processing customers' orders, ability to stand in a confined space for extended periods of time, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring the front-end is clean.
DELI/SEAFOOD/MEALS TO GO
Answering customer inquiries, describing and suggesting products, operating machinery, ability to withstand exposure to heat, cold, water, detergent and can wear rubber gloves, working with a variety of meat, seafood, cheese and prepared food, interested in working with specialty foods and developing knowledge of products and cooking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring department is clean.
GROCERY CLERK
Answering customer inquiries, stocking shelves, setting up and/or moving displays, ensuring shelf stickers are correct, ability to work in a very cold environment, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring department is clean.
GENERAL MERCHANDISE CLERK
(Health & Beauty Care, Housewares, Leisure, Apparel, Home and Garden)
Answering customer inquiries, stocking shelves, setting up and/or moving displays, ensuring shelf stickers are correct, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring department is clean.
MEAT CLERK
Answering customer inquiries, assisting customers with making their selections, responsible for cleaning, weighing, packaging, labeling, stocking and rotating all fresh, packaged, processed and frozen meats, ability to work in a cool/damp environment, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring department is clean. Early morning, day, evening and weekend shifts available.
NIGHT CREW CLERK
Stocking shelves, setting up and/or moving displays, ensuring shelf stickers are correct, ability to work in a very cold environment, ability to work midnight shifts, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring department is clean.
PRODUCE CLERK
Answering customer inquiries, trimming, washing, stocking and rotating fresh fruits and vegetables, stocking and maintaining Bulk Food Section, ability to work in a cool/damp environment, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring department is clean. Early morning, day, evening and weekend shifts available.
PHOTOLAB CLERK
Answering customer inquiries, taking orders accurately and promptly, ability to operate photo finishing equipment, performing quality control tests and cleaning equipment, printing and packaging quality prints, operating a computerized terminal, stocking and selling film, photo albums, frames, cameras, electronics, etc., interest in developing knowledge about photography and photo finishing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and ensuring department is clean.
